Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before making a booking. By making a booking and paying the required deposit or booking payment, the person making the booking agrees to these Terms & Conditions, together with the applicable Resort Information policies and Liability Waiver.

Arrival & Departure

Arrival: After 3pm
Departure: By 10am

For further information about arrival and departure procedures, please see our Park Policies page.

Deposits

For bookings of two nights or more, a deposit of 50% of the total accommodation tariff, with a minimum deposit of $300, is required to secure the booking.

For one-night bookings, full payment is required to confirm the booking.

If you make a booking adjustment that increases the total cost of your stay, the deposit must be increased accordingly.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations and booking adjustments incur a $50 cancellation or adjustment fee. This fee is deducted from the deposit already paid.

After the $50 fee has been deducted, the remaining amount is referred to throughout this policy as the ‘balance of deposit’.

What is a Peak Time?

For the purposes of our cancellation policy, ‘Peak Time’ means school holiday periods, public holiday weekends and other periods during which we normally expect high occupancy.

The cancellation timeframe is determined by the number of days before the scheduled arrival date that the cancellation or booking adjustment is made.

1. Cancellation More Than 90 Days Before Arrival

If a cancellation is made more than 90 days before the scheduled arrival date, the balance of deposit may be:

  • refunded, or
  • transferred to a replacement booking, subject to the conditions under Transfer of Deposit to a Replacement Booking below.

If the original booking was made more than 9 months before the scheduled arrival date, the special conditions under Bookings Made More Than 9 Months Ahead also apply.

Peak Time bookings where nights are reduced

If you cancel or reduce any nights from a Peak Time booking, you remain responsible for the full accommodation tariff for all cancelled nights until those nights are rebooked to another guest.

If only some of the cancelled nights are rebooked, you remain responsible for the full tariff for the remaining nights that have not been rebooked.

For example, if a Peak Time booking is reduced by five nights and only two of those nights are subsequently rebooked, you remain responsible for the accommodation tariff for the three nights that were not rebooked.

Any replacement booking will be charged at the full applicable tariff.

If the amount ultimately payable by the original guest is less than the amount already paid, the difference will be refunded.

2. Cancellation Between 30 and 90 Days Before Arrival

If a cancellation is made 30 to 90 days before the scheduled arrival date, the balance of deposit will not be refunded.

The balance of deposit may instead be transferred to a replacement booking, provided the replacement booking meets all of the conditions under Transfer of Deposit to a Replacement Booking below.

3. Cancellation Less Than 30 Days Before Arrival

If a cancellation is made less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, the balance of deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Management may, at its discretion, offer a transfer of the balance of deposit in exceptional circumstances. Any approved transfer will be subject to the conditions under Transfer of Deposit to a Replacement Booking below.

Bookings Made More Than 9 Months Ahead

Bookings made 12 months ahead are available only through personal contact and are reserved for the purpose of re-accommodating repeat guests. This opportunity is particularly important to guests who regularly stay during Peak Times.

For bookings made more than 9 months and up to 12 months ahead, if any nights are cancelled or removed from the booking, the person holding the booking may remain liable for the original full accommodation tariff.

Where a booking is made more than 9 months ahead, the special conditions under this section take precedence over the standard cancellation periods above.

If you need to cancel or reduce any part of a booking made more than 9 months ahead, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss your circumstances and any reasonable options available.

Transfer of Deposit to a Replacement Booking

Where a transfer is approved, the replacement booking must:

  • be taken within 9 months of the original booking
  • be during an off-peak period
  • not fall during school holidays, public holidays or other popular/high-occupancy periods.

A credit can only be transferred once.

Alternative dates must not remove a reasonable opportunity for us to accept other new bookings. This may also mean that the replacement booking needs to be in one of our less popular accommodation types or units.

Please contact us to discuss available options.

Occupancy & Booking Holder

The accommodation unit must be occupied for the duration of the booking by the person in whose name the booking is held.

If another person will be staying in the accommodation instead, a separate booking is required.

We require the relevant contact details for the person in whose name the booking is held. As part of our standard booking procedure, we may contact that person directly to confirm the booking and accommodation details.

If our reception staff are unable to make phone contact with the person in whose name the booking is held, the booking will generally be cancelled.

Group Bookings

For group bookings involving multiple accommodation units, we require the name and contact details of the people who will occupy each individual unit.

We may contact those guests individually to confirm the relevant details before the booking can be confirmed and the deposit accepted.

School Leavers & Young Groups

During the designated school leavers period in November, Siesta Park does not accommodate school leavers or young groups.

If a booking is made online for school leavers or a young group during this period and we are not alerted to this before arrival, the booking will be refused on arrival and the deposit may be forfeited.

At other times, young groups may be accommodated subject to relevant booking conditions and a $200 per person bond.

If this may apply to your group, you must mention this in the notes section when making an online enquiry or booking so we can contact you to discuss your circumstances.

Failure to disclose that a booking is for a young group may result in the booking being refused on arrival and the deposit being forfeited.

What is considered a Young Group?

As a general guide, a group will generally be considered a young group where the majority of guests are under 25, are unmarried and are not travelling as a family group.

Seniors Discount

A 20% discount is available to a single couple where both guests are over 60 years of age.

The seniors discount does not apply to:

  • two senior couples sharing accommodation
  • seniors staying with their adult children
  • one-night bookings
  • bookings made through third-party booking agencies such as Booking.com
  • bookings during school holidays
  • bookings during long weekends
  • bookings where another special offer is being used.

The discount is available only for bookings made directly with Siesta Park Holiday Resort for 1 Bedroom Park Chalets and Hideaway Villas during our spring, winter and autumn price periods, outside school holidays and long weekends.

The seniors discount cannot be combined with any other special offer.

Specials & Promotions

A Special is a promotional offer that provides a benefit such as a discounted price or an additional night at no charge.

Special offers:

  • cannot be applied retrospectively to an existing booking, and
  • cannot be combined with another offer or discount, including the seniors discount.

Vouchers

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

We are happy to consider extending the use-by date. The person holding the voucher must contact us to make arrangements.

Vouchers are not redeemable for cash.

Guest Property

Siesta Park Holiday Resort accepts no responsibility for guests' property at any time, including loss, theft, vandalism or damage.

Guests are responsible for taking reasonable steps to secure their own property and minimise potential risks.

If you are concerned about the possibility of theft, vandalism or damage caused by natural events such as falling trees or hail, we recommend that you:

  1. Secure and appropriately locate your property to minimise potential risks.
  2. Ensure your own insurance policies provide the level of cover you require.

No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside any accommodation unit.

Acceptance of Resort Policies

Our Resort Information contains additional policies that apply to guests staying at Siesta Park.

By agreeing to these Terms & Conditions, you also agree to comply with all applicable Resort Information policies, including our:

  • Park Policies
  • Beach & Boating Policies

Guests are responsible for familiarising themselves with these policies before and during their stay.

Terms & Conditions and Liability Waiver

The person accommodating the unit must agree to and accept these Terms & Conditions together with our Liability Waiver.

The Liability Waiver applies to the use of all holiday resort facilities, including play equipment and the jetty.

Payment of the required deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the Liability Waiver.

Where required, the person making the booking must also provide electronic or physical confirmation of acceptance to satisfy our public liability insurance requirements.
